Welcome to Chabad Hebrew School of the Arts, an exciting and innovative educational program in Alameda. Chabad Hebrew Schools enjoy a well-earned reputation as trend setters in creative Jewish education for elementary-school-age children.
At Chabad Hebrew School of The Arts, Judaism is fun. We believe that a child’s Jewish education must be creative, memorable, and enjoyable. You can be confident that our dynamic programs will educate, stimulate, and excite your child.
Our student body is made up of children from various backgrounds and affiliations. The program was created with one goal in mind - to offer all Jewish children, even those with little or no background - a fun Jewish experience, an education and memories of that will inspire them for a lifetime. Synagogue membership is not required.

At Hebrew School of The Arts,
every session is an adventure your child will not want to miss.
Children learn through hands on, multi sensory experiences. Art, cooking, drama, music and science! Children are so busy doing, acting, creating, playing, singing…they don’t even realize how much they are learning!
As one student said, “It’s like a taste of Camp Gan Israel during the school year!”
but the fun does not stop there!
Alameda Hebrew School of The Arts is proud to be affiliated with the international Aleph Champion program -- a cutting-edge motivational Hebrew reading program modeled after the martial arts system. Each child competes exclusively against herself!
Beginning with ‘White Aleph’, children compete to reach the next colored level of Aleph Champ until they are fluent readers!
Aleph Champ time is filled with fun, hands on learning. Medals, prizes and certificates are awarded to children who pass each reading level!
